GIVING IS FEEDING

Over $450,000 Raised, Food Shelves Receive Big Slice

The Covid-19 Response Fund for the St. Croix Valley has distributed $377,500 to 64 nonprofit organizations throughout the region. Over 60% of those nonprofits are food pantries or are directly involved in community food support.

As communities continue to “flatten the curve” by sheltering-in-place, the economic slowdown is affecting more and more St. Croix Valley families. Through the compassion and generosity of local businesses, fund holders and community donors, the COVID-19 Response Fund for the St. Croix Valley has topped $450,000.

The COVID-19 Response Fund for the St. Croix Valley supports community organizations responding to basic needs such as food, shelter, financial assistance and mental health support related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Fund is a partnership between St. Croix Valley Foundation, United Way St. Croix Valley and United Way of Washington County-East.
